Hi!
I have been trying for days to get the EmailClient on my T610 to work,
but it just won't work!

I have searched this forum and used some sattings that worked for others but with no luck... I have also used the settings from SE's and Comviqs site and those don't work eather...

Every time I try to "Send&Get" I get this Error:

Can not handle GPRS parameters.

Whats wrong?

This is what I'm trying to get to work:

Mobile: SE T610
SIM: Comviq Kontant (Pay&talk type)
Email Provider: Telia (Swedish)

Search a little harder rinkle!!

You need your Service Provider to activate data (internet) GPRS, in addition to the standard wap APN.

You will then need two data accounts; a GPRS-wap (APN = wap) for browsing, and a GPRS-mail (APN = internet) for email.

Are you *SURE* you have data ('internet' ) APN activated by Comviq? In the UK, I'm not so sure that Pay-as-you-go users have this APN activated....

Not having a T610 - pm user 'masseur' (hope I don't offend masseur by my suggesting this) with this problem; bound to be able to help.

There's a setting somewhere on the phone which is 'preferred connection', or something like that, with options GSM+GPRS or GSM-only; maybe this isn't set right...

I'd be surprised if Comviq/T610 email client don't work!!!

Steven.

EDIT: Rinkle:

Do these help?

I've been reading this but thought you were doing a good job __spc__

the setting you mention is in connectivity, data comm., preferred service however I just set my to GSM only to test. The blue triangle showing GPRS connection dissapeared but as soon as I did a send/receive the blue triangle came back on and the send/receive was successful. I checked the setting and it was still GSM only. So it seems this is a 'preferred' setting... not a 'definitly want to use GSM only' setting!

Normally if you try to do email using the wap data acocunt you just get a server not found message so I don;t think thats the problem.

It really does sound like GPRS internet account is not active.
