I'm looking for a way to have a web camera that is portable so that I can take it with me on the road and it sends photos to my website through my phone.

At the moment I have to use a standard webcam connected to my laptop which is connected to my cell phone.

How much of a dream would it be if I could have something like the P800 with some webcam software so that I can perch the phone somewhere and it will happily snap a photo every so often and upload it to my website through GPRS....

I could even take it to parties and stuff like that too...

Any ideas?

This is possible with a T610 and an Apple Mac.

1) Manually take a picture on T610
2) Write an e-mail on the T610 and attach the photo
3) Send it to the e-mail address of your Mac
4) Set-up the Mac to automatically retrieve e-mails at regular periods.
5) Write a simple AppleScript to take the photo attachment from the email and upload it to your web-server automatically

That's it!

I realise that - I just offered an alternative that works for me (not being a P800 owner).

But would you really want to leave your P800 unattended at a party!!?? Don't think I would!!

An example would be the festival we are attending next month. We're going to have a shop on the day thought it would be cool to have a roaming webcam, so that people who can't make it on the day can see what's going on...

Hello, thebottomhalf!

Go to: http://www.sonystyle-imaging.com/eu_en/pc/index.jsp create an acount and then create a public photo album.

Take your photo(s) and send them via email or mms to your public photo album.

Now your friends can share your moments with you!
