> T610 Broken - No idea how to fix??

I have a T610 and all of a sudden the following has occured:
1) screen backlight does not work
2) it says 'No Network' instead of my operator so i can not get calls
I then turn of my phone for about 30 mins and turn it back on and it works again for about 5 mins and then does the same! Should i like do the following: Reset my phone (13 second rule - how do i do it?), repair it (were can i repair it in UK (manchester) if i cannot send it to carphone warehouse due to some personal reasons?)
