Hi,
I've experienced the following issue with several P800 devices now (since I work closely together with SE Service Point D&S Breda.
The device hangs at the startup proces after the first screen (on or off or flight mode) This happens when the internal memory seems full (sometimes I get a message irdicating this).
The only solution is to flash it from Emma2 - ofcourse all data ard settings are gone and the erd user can't do it by himself.
Has anyone had this experllen too?
How did you solve it and shouldn't Symbian have a signal whenever there is too less internal memory for it's temp / swap files?

To summarize the other post(s), always leave *at least* 2MB free memory on C: - th emore free the better.

When I first got my P800 I used to keep the C drive almost full & I had a lot of problems. Now I keep 1mb free & it's all good.

Keep at least 1 MB free on C. I've installed Handy Day which shows a memory usage gauge bar on top right. Red indicates really red and is a good sign to free up some memory (other tools might do as well...)

Whenever you have an /// or SE issue (or even other brands...) expericience the service level of D&S Telecom in Breda. Assuming that you live somewhere close to the Pearl of South...
(no, I'm not sponsored, just threated as a customer, where will you find that those days in all !#$%A telecom shops).

wtf is Esato Mobile? I find if you leave the phone for ages & pull out the battery a few times, etc, it eventually corrupts something so formats the C:. Not the most elegant of solutions. I have 3mb free on my c: and next time i get firmware updated i'll probably leave c: be & use 128mb duo.. Firewire card readers r the winner!
