> Where to flash T610?
Bookmark topic
Could someone tell me where I might flash my T610 with the new firmware in London (I haven't got a cable to do it myself)? With my old T68i, I used to be able to bring it to a Carphonewarehouse and they did it. Do they also do the T610?
Also as a side note, if I was to flash with the latest firmware and then get rid of the Voda icons, would the latest firmware version still be on there?
Thanks in advance...

Use the dealer locator at www.sonyericsson.com to find out where you can get it flashed (look for service centres). They will only flash an unbranded software version if you're lucky...

Service Center will flash any

phone
If you want to get rid of Voda icons you have to flash the phone to newest firmware yourself, no point goint to

center first
If the

center flashes the firmware upgrade for you you will get the newest firmware with Voda customizations
No point in going to

to flash first, and then doing it yourself again

You can't flash phones yourself with just a cable, you'll need very expensive equipment for that. Remember that flashing a phone by yourself will void the warranty. If you still want to do this, check www.sonyericssonserver.com. And no (sorry, I misread your question), you can't remove firmware by performing a master reset. The firmware version will still be there after removing the Vodafone shit.

Question: I flashed my Vodagroan R1A081 T610 myself to get rid of the Vodagroan crapola.
Say I now want to upgrade the firmware to the latest version (R1L???) do I just take it in to a service center? Would they just see it as an uinbranded phone and there will be no questions asked, or will they enter the phone's ID in their computer and see that it started out life as a Vodagroan? (I have not removed the Vodagroan branding from the case but will do so)
Otherwise, is it possible for me to upgrade the firmware like I did when I removed the Vodagroan software customisations?
TIA,
JohnO

Nope, can't find the service centres on the SE website! Any suggestions?

It seems that there is no dealer locator for the UK, like there is for many other countrys on the

site. You could try and call

in your country and ask them, or call the place where you bought your phone and ask them if they do fw updates or if they know where you can get one.

What a great saying! Where did you get it? It's quite topical in this day and age, don't you think?
