Hi,

I'm connected to Vodafone UK and am having big problems sending MMS. I've read the other topics on this subject, but haven't found anything to help me.

My problem is I can send MMS to an email address, but if I try to send to another mobile (even my own) I get "system error".

I've had endless conversations with Vodafone and am getting nowhere. They tell me the message is failing because the destination phone number is blank when it reaches the Vodafone network.

Now I think this is a Vodafone problem (I've had the handset replaced twice!)and I'm going to kick up a fuss. Before I do:

1. Is anyone else having the same problem?
2. If you are on Vodafone UK, have R2D firmware and can send MMS, could you let me know?

Many Thanks.

I'm using Vodafone UK and can send mms no problems. The phone's running R1D. It was a real pain getting it to work...

Thanks Northernmost. What did you have to do to get it working?

As an aside, on the mobile WWW site there are MMS templates for the various phones. Are these templates croos-phone compatible? For example, can I download a P800 template and use it to send to my wife's T68i, and have her be able to read it properly etc? And what about to Noki*s?

Also, I used the Voda MMS configurator on the WWW site, but have yet to try send/receive any MMS - what were the difficulties that you experienced?

Cheers,

Steven.

Hi,

I also experienced problems because of... the NUMBER!

In case you store contact phone numbers in a format like
+44 12 34 56 78
you might up ending in a problem while
+4412345678
resp.
012345678
is difficult to read but makes MMS working

@nuttyprofessor

Same here (R1D) and it's very annoying - won't send to me either, even with 10kb file sizes.

I haven't bothered to do anything about it yet as my p800 is Orange sourced, so I can't really complain to them about it not working yet....
