this is my rant about the hell of a time im having with my t610 and although it is nobody's fault and im really just a victim of sercumstances
the easy part was actually ordering paying for and receiving my t610, loved it.
the hard part was that before the t610 i which i refer to as the dark ages i was with optus prepaid in australia which was fine
but i found out when i got my t610 that optus does not allow gprs on its prepaid accounts so all the good new shiny things of my phone were useless so i went to Vodaphone prepaid which does allow gprs on prepaid
problem solved
get home to discover i dont get any reception at home on vodaphone
......bother
so now with this next problem i think oh well the only way im going to be able to get around this is to go on a plan with optus
cos a plan on optus has reception at home and gprs everything i need
but after 3 trips to my local optus dealer getting hold of every single peice of paper that identifies that i am who i say i am i find out that i cant go on a plan with optus because i dont have a credit rating because i have never had a loan out or anything
...........
and so here i am with a nice shiny $700 phone which can do pretty much bugger all.

on top of that ive been working at it for a month but can still not get the gprs features to work on my t610 ive called vodaphone 4 times all up a total about 3 hours on the phone and tried the online configurator numerous time but still no joy

so that is my rant please feel free to reply with your own sob stories hearing about someone else being miserable with cheer me up no end

hey, I'm from perth too and with optus.
I understand the hassle you have to go through setting up the gprs and get it up and running. My experience with the optus dealer to set up a gprs connection using my pocketpc and t68i wasn't a good one.

I just wonder why you would need to use gprs at home. For me, I would only use grps when i'm away from my pc.
