> pc suite p800 won't install

hi,
i've just upgraded from a 02 xda 32mb version to the fantastic p800 pda/phone.
i'm having probelms installing the pc suite p800 setup program. it keeps coming back with a warning: another program has been installed/uninstalled since the last reboot. reboot your computer to complete the previos installation/uninstallation before running this setup?
I had uninstalled all my xda software and sync manager software, deleted all files in the windows\temp directory as well as all the temp files in the documents and settings various directories.
Even rolled my system back a couple of days on system restore but still keep getting the same warning?
Is there any way to force the software to install?
any other work around?
I'm running windows xp pro (2600 build) on amd xp 2500 barton, 512mb, etc,etc..........
I haven't connected the usb lead from the phone hub yet as I haven't installed the software? is this correct?
I have blue tooth setup which can see the phone but thats about it, still need the pc suite to install?

If you're not quesy about editing the registry, check the following keys: HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\current version\run once
also look at the entries in the same location in HKUSER

cleared ONE entry in hklm\software\windows\current version\run once
couldn't find anything in hkuser.
software has now loaded.

i cant install my p800 software to start at all, when naming the p800 it sais name already exists, i tried a thousand names i even tried stuff like MyP800isthebettermob.
can any one help me
also i need to know where i can download video file format conversion programs,,, chhers
