> t610 battery and GPRS problems
Bookmark topic
I just purchased my phone and the battery doesn't lasts as long as the t68i. According to Sony this phone should have up to 14 hours but I'm lucky if I get 3.5. Is this happening to others or is there anyone who knows of any issues?
Also, my GPRS signal above the antena bars isn't and hasn't come on. I'm under Tmobile in the United States. Both Tmobile and SOny have no idea.
Your help is appreciated since I have 14 days to return the phone I might just od this unless it can be fixed.
Thanks.

Well to turn the blue GPRS triangle on you need to go to connect, data comm, preferred service and make sure "GPRS and GSM" is selected. You also need to be on a network that provides GPRS of course.

already did this and everything is fine as far as setup is concerned.
Are you in the United States under the same carrier? I'm starting to think Tmobile doesn't have their data keyed in correctly for this phone and that's why it doesn't work.

No I'm not but just checking the obvious.
If you slide the volume slider up or down to see phone status does it mention GPRS (i.e. not allowed or anything else like that)?

well it really sounds like the service you have (is it prepaid or something?) does not offer GPRS. You are not even getting a hollow triangle which means GPRS is in range even if you cannot use it.
Sorry you will have to go back to tmobile and sort it with them although there is a small chance the phone is faulty I suppose.

I read in another Forum that T-Mobile disabled the GPRS indicator on their T610's. I don't know how true this is.

I have an unlimited Tzones plan with 5000 minutes per month for $100 so it isn't prepaid.
Does anyone have a problem with their battery not lasting as long?
