Owners of T610:

How do you clean you mobile? After using it for a while, the outside is starting to get oily (yuk!). I've wiped it with tissues, but not sure whether I should include a tiny bit of soap to wipe the phone. Afraid the cemicals in soap might do some damage. Suggestions welcome

I have always just used regular "screen wipes" or "computer wipes".

Does not seem to have done any harm to three phones yet!

Wash your hands, wipe the grease. I just keep this up, and as I'm pretty clean, the phone stays nice and shiny

I've let the phone get really greasy before, and it doesn't bother me. The phone still looks good! So I don't worry too much!

Use silk-gloves when you use the phone, or else you can get fingerprints on it!

that's the nice thing about T610, you can see the yucky dirt.

Moisten a clean piece of cotton cloth with water. Then wipe it gently on your teesixten. Good day everyone. This message was posted from a T610

why don't you just use the free cloth that came with the phone? That works great for me.

after cleaning the oil/grime off the unit you may want to protect the screen from scratches and stuff...

i'm using a pda screen protector (circle data pda screen care) cut down to the size of the t610 srceen (32x37mm). you won't notice it even when the unit hibernates, it doesn't get as oily and is easier to clean than the rest of the unit's surface, and it protects the screen from scratches.
