Is there a shorter way to send SMS on T610?

At the moment, too many steps are needed to send: write sms, continue, look up, phonebook, Find, select contact, send/add recipient

there are no quicker ways to send it other than the process you have described.if you have used a nokia its a pain in the arse
only thing i will say thats useful it does give you a few chances to make sure the msg is going to the right person

on my Nokia 3410: menu, messeges, write messege, options, send, search, name, ok.

just as bad really

or address book, details, options, send message, options, send, ok

still not clever

I think we are all looking for problems with T610

u can save one step by using groups. make groups for the 10 ppl u send sms 2 most - and only have that 1 person in each group.

>>>write sms, continue, look up, Groups, select contact, send/add recipient

hope that helps

the only thing that bugs me is the screen where you can add more receivers. I think they should instead have a "send to" and "send to many" option as nokia phones have.

One of the few things I like about my old Nokia, it took very few steps to send SMS. On T610, it is simply rediculous how many steps to go through just to select a phone contact!!!!!!

you see this is why I miss my siemens. There I could program each number to do a different task and so I had 2 for sms 3 for games 4 for wap etc. I hate having to go through all this long stuff.

I think groups is the best way to do it.
Pretty much I have one set up for each person I message regularly, and a larger group to message a bunch of friends when organising stuff.

You know what's funny though? It's the way that writing a new message is too many steps, and I think that replying is too few. It's not very easy to change the number you are sending too (I dont think). What if someone SMS's you from a free web service that you can't just reply to? Just my thoughts...
