I've also bought a credit to remove the Vodafone Live customisation. I'm having problems getting the right sort of cable. sonyericssonserver just say that it's a T28 Chinese cable (eh?). Does anybody have some more detailed info? I understand, from previous postings that you need a non SE data cable, and not one used for PC synchronisation. However, does anybody have a web link to point me in the right direction? F-Bus? M-Bus?

Anyway, to flash the phone to remove Voda customisation, my email from sonyericssonserver gave the following instructions:

- Enter user name and password onto the dialog screen.
- Plug cable into phone (phone must be switched off).
- Browse for the relevant *.SBN file.
- Press the Flash button.
- Message appears to power on the phone.
- Press the power button - short press only!
- Loader will commence and Vodafone icons disappear.

Would the P800 USB cradle be sufficient to do a reflash? It has all the pins so I believe it should ...

thanks simon.. i think ive just messed up my £15 credit..

Here's where you can get the T28 cable..
http://www.logosunlimited.co.uk/ericsson_cables.htm

The first cable at the top of the page.. I think you need that exact one... i dont think any cradles etc will work, no matter how many pins it has..

its ok for the phone to be that slow.. its just part of the process... but you have to follow the instructions above.. you need to get the correct *.sbn file and flash it into a ARM file... then input your iemi number and flash your phone....

I think...

I havnt dont it yet so im not 100% sure..

crap... we need a detailed manual for this
i dont think if ur flashing language pack only u'll need an ARM file and do the imei stuff... ARM is only if your also upgrading eg R1A to R1L etc
IMEI change is well...u know we dont need it.

besides i think one log will only allow you to do one of these things....

:\ somebody help us..
