Can anyone tell me where can I take contacts with birthdays. imho default contacts doesn't have this feature. May be 3rd-party program?
Thanks.

It's amazing how my old Psion Series 5 handled birthdays and other anniversaries beautifully. It could even show the number of years elapsed from a start date. I bought a Sony Clie and that didn't have that. When I bought a P800, I expected it would be the same as my Series 5 seeing as they related. What's going on here? Don't PDA software writers celebrate birthdays anymore?

There is a "add field" feature in the "contacts"
You can do it there but it seems that it doesn't work perfectly with outlook

But it really needs to be in the Calender so that an alarm can alert you to send a card/buy a pressie.

I'm using Handy Dates. It reads the contact list, and as long as you put the birthdates in the Outlook, before syncronise.
It them loads them to Calendar.
Probably a new firmware will correct this situation.

Since migrating from nokia i also miss this feature, but instead i make a 'reminder' in the calender that i call 'birthday of [persons name] + year of birth on the date of their birth, then make it repeat every year with an alarm. Simple as that.

Yeah, that is one solution. It's just more elegant when the number of years elapsed is shown.

I have been a registered user of Handy Day since v 3.0, and recently bought Handy dates to complement it with birthdays. I've found the HDates sw to be shoddy - when installed, half the time, it crashes my P800 when syncing, and often loses birthdays - they're still in my calendar, but no longer show up on handy dates - I've stopped using HDates totally. Anyone else have these problems.

not sure what's going on with handy dates. as far as i'm aware, the last release was 1.1 but i had a beta of version 2 until the trial ran out - that was months ago.
the developer was aware of the issues and seemed to have added a few features (like import dates from outlook, etc) but i have no idea why the new version was never released.
hopefully the new version will be better.
