> T300 Charger Connector = Crap?
Bookmark topic
I've heard bickering about the connecting mechanism the T300 uses for it's charger/handsfree/data cables. But I have an issue with the charger now.
When my phone is plugged in, it will not start charging until I put some downward pressure on the power plug connecting to the phone. (Picture the phone flat on ground, screen facing up)-- as if the gold contacts are half a millimieter out of normal range.
Now even worse, if the phone needs a good charging and I plug it in before I go to sleep, the phone might immediately pop up that "Optimized Charging" image. I will watch it for a few seconds to see the battery meter filling up repeatedly. And then I might go away, and then the after two or three 'animated fills' it will stop charging. Go to sleep, wake up, and the phone has not charged the slightest bit because the charger is in the ever so slightly wrong position.
Is anyone experiencing this problem? Or experienced it in the past?

I had these problems, particularly with the MP3 player and my T68.
Get an old toothbrush or nail brush, scrub the connectors on the phone (and the charger for good measure).
This did the trick 100% for me, and made a massive difference.
I agree, it's not the best design in the world.

Best way is with vodka + a cotton wool bud, cheaper stuff works better!

Wow thanks so much. It appears to be working great so far. The things tick me off about electronics are usually poorly designed moving parts, or parts that degrade easily. Glad to see that it wasn't really the case here.
