If you put the PC in the discoverable mode (default), can you detect it by searching for it from your phone? (bluetooth->my devices->new device)

It looks like Belkin F8T001 is a class 1 bluetooth adaptor (100m range)
The T610 is a class 2 (10m)
I am not sure the two are compatible, I'll try to check it out
[EDIT]
It seems that class 1 and 2 BlueTooth devices are compatible, but you will be limited to 10m range.
Perhaps your dongle is faulty. Do you get any error messages when you try to search for BlueTooth devices on the PC? Check the application log (right-click My Computer->Manage->Event Viewer->Application)

Hi
I too have the T610 and Belkin adaptor but find the range dissapointing. The phone needs to be within a 1/2 meter of the belkin adaptor in some cases about 10cm any further and the signal is too weak.
Did removing the extension cable help ?
