Do any of you use the Chatboard (Cha-10) accessory? If so,

1. Do you like it?
2. Does it work well with the t68?
3. Must you support the phone with one hand and the chatboard with the other? Ie, would it be easy to use without a flat surface on which to place the phone and chatboard?

I found a US website that sells it for USD$15, so it wouldn't be a big investment to try it out.

I bought the chatboard about 3 weeks ago and it's ok, but not perfect.

It's better to hold both the telephone and the keyboard if you can, because you can't really use it on a flat surface (which would be easier if possible) since the chat board is thinner than the 'phone and when you press a key the 'phone tips up!

Also I can't seem to find a way of scrolling downwards using the keyboard (such as when entering a contacts details) so you have to use the joystick to move between fields on the form, since there is no up key, down key or tab.

I'd say it is worth $15, but possibly not the £20 ($26) I paid for it.

(this reply is PDX-specific, maybe us-specific)

You might want to goto BestBuy and ask for a chatboard. I went there about a month ago and asked if they sold the chatboards, the guy working the counter gave me one. Said they are part of the pkg for buying a t28w.

good luck.

I bought one something like a month ago now and ... all i can say is that the tiny keyboard stay most of its time away from my phone. It's easier to write sms (but awfully slow if u are used to write with small keyboard and you type fast...)
Anyway for mail and wap url entering it's usefull.
All i can say is "try it before buying" ...
Enjoy

I got the CHA10 a few days ago for £10UKP from the SonyEricsson UK online e-shop, including delivery+VAT. The keys are a bit rubbery, like the old A1018s. I would have preferred stiffer keys, though not as stiff as the T39 (which I was trying to stop using so much!). Extra stiffness would probably mean the body of the chatboard casing could be thinner, which would also help. The keys could be a bit more sensitive - any cheap phonebook/organizer lets you almost get to a stage of touchtyping-type operation, but not here. Changing the case of the letters seems to be a chore for me too.

It was a pure impulse buy, because I saw it so cheap, but I wouldn't pay full whack for it. Apparently on release RRP was £29.99! Even today some sites are 'discounting' it down to £24.99, still too much IMHO.
