When i get a call on my mobile before my ringtone starts i get just a normal "Ring Ring". This is annoying as it messes up my home made ringtone!
Also i have "Ascending ringtones" turned off but it still does it!
Help Please!
Thanks alot
Mat

That's normal.
Normally (if ascending ring tone option is OFF) there will be aprox. 6 sec before the ringing will reach full volume. This is there to protect your ears. If ascending ring tone option is ON, it will take much longer (30 sec?) to reach full volume.
If volume is set to loud there will also be an electronic ring before the ringtone starts.

do you know how i can get into the settings file on my T616, i used to do it, now i've forgotten how. I used to move the joystick to the right, then left twice, and then press some buttons, or something like that. Now, i'm not talking about the normal settings menu, this is one you have to access through some weird button presses, let me know, gracias.

I've had this problem too with my P800. The alerts are very low even if I had placed the volume to MAX. I unchecked the ascending to see any changes. Should this affect SMS/MMS/EMail alerts too? Coz I barely hear my customized alerts when I receive SMS.
One major thing, the alarm's sound's so low. It's impossible for someone to wake up with that volume. Dyu guys have a tone that's really loud?

No it does not effect them afaik. Have you tried increasing th volume of the alert on your pc and putting it back on the phone?

You phone isn't near your ear when it 'starts' ringing.
I dont buy the "SE are more health conscious than any other mobile manufacturer" vibe - considering all the bad feedback about dudes not hearing the T610 ringing before it rings off - I think it's no more than just another bollock dropped by S.E

Since I'm supposed to try search and faq, here I am digging up an old topic.
I have that problem too on a T630. I met a friend the other day with a z600 and he says he doesn't have the problem. Is that because

wants to save our ears because the ringtones are played out of the same place as the earpiece where as the z600 and newer

don't ? I'm thinking of getting a z600 and that is one of the strongest reasons for thinking of it.
