Hey, ive tried countless times and searched these forums but what ever seems to work for others doesnt work for me!
im having problems with syncing with bluetooth. i can do everything else for instance file pushing between my desktop and my p800 but when i attempt to recognise that my bluetooth can even be used to sync it just doesnt appear!
ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling both bluetooth and the sync software and ive got the latest versions of them.
please. help.

What bluetooth adaptor are you using?
I have a Socket PC Card one that works great but a Brainboxes USB one will not show a Bluetooth connection and it is a problem they are trying to sort.

BlueTooth sync is not the same as sync software for P800. The sync software connects over (emulated) serial port, while BlueTooth PIM synchronisation is native bluetooth. You don't need one to run the other. I am not sure P800 supports PIM synchronization (anybody know?). If that's the case, it won't show as a service for your phone.
Anyhow, if you want to check if the serial connection is working, open hyperteminal, choose the COM port used by the BlueTooth Serial Port connection to your phone.Type "AT", if you get answer the connection is working, if there is no answer the connection is not working.

Same here...my computer recognizes my P800 via bluetooth, but the sync manager doesn't display it. Hopefully the next version of the sync program will support this.
