Hey folks,
Although I know quite a bit about phones I know nothing about pairing a mobile with your PC. I've searched the forum and realise there are three options to do this and their beneifts and cons.
I know its possible to synchronise a mobile to outlook but why? Just to recieve emails and contacts on the phone?
What else can you do with a PC to mobile connection as I'd love to know the FULL benefits b4 I shell out money on a Blue tooth or Infared device.
Lastly can someone recommend a good BT and infared device to do the job or at least point me to the right threads.

Connecting phone to PC is very usefull. Depending on model, you can sync contacts, calendar appointments and tasks. You can aslo send pictures, ringtones, themes... I find the calendar sync the most usefull.

If you are looking for a bluetooth adapter, TDK and MSI seem to be the most popular. You can
search the forums for additional info.

I have T610 (which is really good by the way). When you use BlueTooth connection between T610 and the PC, you will be able to synchronise contacts/calendar appointments/tasks with Outlook (not outlook express). You will also be able to send picture/ringtones/themes/games from PC to mobile. You can use the phone as a remote control for the PC, and use the phone as a modem for PC...

There are also programs which allow you to download messages to the PC, send messages from PC, etc... One such program is
FMA.

However, the most popular are TDK and MSI like I mentioned in previous post.
Prices depend on where you live (country). You might want to try some online stores. I payed £35 for mine.

Just hope there is a software upgrade for the t610 to make it faster navigating the phne and using t9. I've used one of the first production models of the t610 and its quite slow, so I'm hoping my one will be a little quicker.
