Go to control panel, do a master reset.
Before that backup your phone via pc suite.
A firmware upgrade might erase your data so do the back up and sync your contacts with outlook.

Bump on what Omar has said.

A firmware upgrade WILL erase so you HAVE to backup first.

if you back up the phone memory, and do a format, then restore the back up.. it will just restore the phone to the state it was at before the format. so theres no point really.
its only worth it if you back up your contacts/calender stuff, and start from fresh.

I know this is an old topic, but I didnt want to start a new one.

Can you take a back-up of the bookmarks? That is actually all I want to keep(I use a P900)
