I'm having trouble getting my (cheap) dongle to work. I've installed the 'Blue Manager 2.1' software that came with the dongle and I can use it to succesfully send images from the phone to the computer. However, that is as far as it goes, I can't seem to browse anything on the phone (images, sounds etc..) using the Blue Manager software. I've downloaded the latest Sony Ericsson Communications Suite from the SE site and I can't synchronise with the phone. I've enabled com port 5 in the Phone Manager settings (which is mapped to the Serial port of the phone). When I try to sync I get a 'Add to my devices?' prompt on the phone which I agree to and enter a passcode which then displays a prompt on the computer for a passcode where I enter the same code, the phone says the device is added and nothing happens. The sync software says 'connecting...' and every 30 seconds or so the phone keeps prompting to the computer.

I read in another post that anything using the Blue Manager software is to be avoided, unfortunately i read that too late... am I doing something wrong or is it a lost cause?

Sorry for the long post.

Thanks,

Simon Cox

Well, i've kinda got it further. I followed the instructions from c0mm0n to install the anycom software and other drivers (1.3.2.7 or something) and I can get further. I can now browse the phone's pictures and etc, however, when I run XTNDconnect sync (after connecting the serial port 1), the serial port connection keeps cycling between connected and disconnected.

Any ideas?
