I took my t610 to mobilerepair.com in st lenoards NSW to get the latest voda firmware so when my cable arrives from USA i would be able to flash the latest non-vodafirmware. The dude behind the counter didnt know there was a new voda firmware but after i mentioned EMMA2 he had a look. after a bit of shopping i collect my phone and now its non-vodafonized..i still have the vf favourites and Vodafone Live buttons on in the menu but the desktop is clean, no red voda crap to be seen.
so if you live in NSW head down there and see if they can do it for you as well.

basically its the same as if i used sonyericssonserver and a t28 cable, but this was done by a offical sony repair center.

thanks. i remember reading a while a go some person got it done and no one would belive him, well... i cant not belive him now.
i guess the best thing is if i have any warranty issues with the phone SE cant say no to me.
im sending one of vodafonized friends in next week to see if they will do it too her phone as well.

I'm from Sydney but have a UK Voda T610, you think SE in St. Leonards will do it as well? I'm gonna be back in Sydney in December.
