Hi people, i've just bought a p800 and was wondering what the best/cheapest place to insure it would be, I used to have mastercare on my old 7250 but found them to be pretty expensive and unhelpful when the phone was lost so would not consider going back with them.
Any advice would be appreciated.

cheers

Get your phone stuck on your house insurance, thats what i plan on doing! Cheaper all round, and its covered if you drop it whilst out and about, or it getting nicked from your car!

Wow, wow, wow!
Hang on there!
That all depends on what counrty you are in!
Here in Norway the house insurance will cover your phone whilst it is IN the house. As soon as you take it out when you leave your home with your phone in your pocket it aint covered anymore.
That sort of defeats the purpouse a bit.
Make sure you check the small print before you take it for granted that you are covered.

If you are on Orange... get orange care... about £5 a month... i've had it for 4/5 years, loads of help if something goes wrong, they just exchange it for a new one, within a couple of hours in some cases!!!

i agree about mastercare i had it on my sams T100 and the front screen broke and they charged me £25 to fix it even though i was paying them £5.99 a month!!!! scandlous!!!! check out the post "i broke my p800"

just my thoughts

Mine's on my house insurance and it comes under the Alll Risks section, which is for stuff that I carry outside the house, like mobile, cd player, cash, etc.

Coverplan does not cover you against loss unless you specifically pay for it, there is a £25 excess for all all claims except warranty, both facts are explained very clearly on the form you got, guess we know who didn't read the T&Cs eh?!

Ha - I was about to recommend Carphone Warehouse's Lifeline policies, until....

I bought my P800 5 or 6 weeks ago, and took out the 'Complete' policy for it, and then cancelled the 'Lite' policy for my T68i.

I received yesterday a letter confirming cancellation of my policy; today, I received a second letter, confirming cancellation of my second policy - 4 hrs before I leave to go abroad, taking my P800 with me.

These CPW insurance dipsh*ts nearly let me go abroad without insurance, while I now have to go into town to shout loudly over the counter at someone (like I have time for that this morning!?) - I don't trust these 'over-the-phone' guys to get it right at such a critical time!

Steven, not impressed!
