Unless you have a 64 bit processor like the IA-64 you most likely are running the 32 bit version of windows xp. This message was posted from a WAP device

Thanks for the help lads, Microsoft web site is s**t, just sends you round in circles unless you want to pay. Why should I pay for support on a product that is faulty. I just hope Microsh**s world goes bang on Saturday, why that virus hits. If they made a decent product in the first place this would not happen. Once again thanks for youe help.

I had to smile at the Channel 4 News item tonight about this virus... spreading more panic among all those poor Windows users!!

At least the reporter was sensible enough to finish his report by saying to avoid the virus completely "you could always switch to Linux or Apple", both of which are immune to 99% of viruses!!

joolsG3 I am in the process of changing from windows to apple. The only problem is, I use a desktop at home and a laptop when away on work. As you can imagine it is not cheap to change the whole lot in one go, so I am just going to have to wait a little longer until I can change.
Ohh and ThaDemon If I were you I would do it now. Windows is toooo vunerable to viruses to risk it without virus software.

@volvoman

It's not that Apple is more or less vunerable to viruses or attack - it's just that no-one bothers to write them when they can do one for windows and annoy 10 times as many people!
