> sim card doesn't work with unlocked t68i

Just bought an unlocked t68i from the States, brought to China, put in my China Unicom SIM card in phone, but did not work. "Put in correct SIM card" appears on screen. Put in old SIM card but there is a "SIM error." What can I do? Will this phone not work in China? Please suggest any solution.
