Need some info from those who have the Bluetooth headset.

Will it drain the Phone Battery life faster? Now I have to charge my battery everyday (at night). The battery level normally reach 10-20% in the end of the day. I wonder will the Bluetooth headset consume lots of battery power?

Do you use the phone alot, as mine lasts for about three days before I need to charge it and that is with use of traffic-i and calls of about 20-30 mins aday. I have never seen much difference in battery life when using the HBH-30 with my P800 or T68i.

In order to use the HBH-30 (blueT Headset),I must turn the blueT always ON. Am I right?

I beleive this consume battery life. Another example is, if I turn the InfraRed ON for the whole day, it surely will drain my battery life.

Yes you need to turn it to ON, but the bluetooth will only be used when you make or receive a call, at all other times it is in standby, so battery consumption is only realy affected when you are using the phone and headset to make or receive a call. You could use it in automatic but you loose the use of magic word and voice dial and answer.

as volvoman stated you do have to have your BT switched ON on the P800. i have a hbh-60 and find that there is a slight drain on the batt eventhough its not always in use. its hard to say for definate that you loose say 2-3hrs with BT on compared to it off cos i have never bothered to see how long it will run in standby with BT ON and recharge it to MAX and leave it in standbt with BT OFF. dont let the fact that you batt life wont be so good cos your using BT headset. its a cool piece of extra kit for the p800 and its great to fully exploit only some of the features on this machine. i suggest you do what i have done and get an extra batt when your getting a headset so you can rotate batts on mobile when other one dies.

And my P800 can never last more than a DAY!

Other than that and the lousy Outlook sync, I love my P800.

I take it you mean talktime? If you do, I reckon you have a dud battery in your headset! Mine lasts 2.5 to 3 hours talktime before battery dies. You should get it checked out because 1 hour is WAY too little for the HBH-60.

Have all of you who get just about a day of battery life got Tracker installed on your P800?. If so, remove it completely from your phoen and U might get a pleasant surprise. This was the case 2-3 months ago when I had my P800. They might have fixed the battery drain problem now, but check it anyway.
