We already know that the T68i has a pretty silent and unpleasant sms tone, BUT, has anyone already heard the sound through your speaker if you're in a call and a sms message comes in???

Man, that is a cool sound, something like an airplane cockpit chime,

"Tower, my autopilot is disconnecting!!!!, oups, sorry, just a sms coming in"

T68i users, if you haven't heard it yet, make a call and ask someone to send you an sms, it really sounds great. Too bad SE didn't made this sound the default one for an sms coming in during standby.

@markymark

Kind of like when the no smoking sign goes on while flying a 747...

If vibrate is set to "on", does the phone still vibrate if you are on a call and get an SMS sent to you? This annoys me with my T68m.

@gomichaelkgo, just tested that and Yes, unfortunately for you, it still does vibrate in silent mode when a sms comes in during a call.

Yeah, the vibrating alert is still on. But I agree, the sound is pretty cool.. But just one time, not the 29'th.. :( This post was posted from a T68

Did you turn on the beep that can go off to warn you about the call every minute? Wow... talk about a cool sound. It's awsome. You have got to try it out. The new T68i really is the coolest thing right now!

I have no idea. All I can say is that this sound (as well as the sms sound while talking) does come from the earspeaker, not the speaker for the ring signal. It's very cool how it sounds! It's like being inside a cockpit of a 747... (well, almost...)

To bad they couldn't be as creative when making the new sound for ordinary sms (while not talking). I am just so bothered by the fact that I never hear an incomming sms if the phone aint right beside me
