> Worth buying T610

Do you guys think it's whorth buying T610 at this time.
Or would you wait for the Z- (Z600 and more) series.
I thinking about buying the T610, but if I do I will probublly use it for like 2 years. So I would'nt like it to be a "stoneage" phone at that time.

well i tried the z600 and it is exactly like the t610 i diddnt have enough time to check the memory though but it is a little bigger and the covers seem to be exchangable and what i like bout it is that there is the little lcd screen on the phone when it is closed

To be honest the decision is yours, I say go for it, there wont be many phones leaving the 610 far behind just yet, look at the T68i for exapmle - its still pretty much a feature filled phone even now.

The T610 is already falling behind. I would like a T610 with a good screen and quad band reception as well as some type of removable memory. That would really make it a world phone and put it on par with some of the other phones being offered by companies such a motorola and seimens.

2 years for a phone? For functionality yes it might hold for 2 years or more depends on how 'techno freak' you are. But for style and technological advancement 2 years is enough to make any phone to become obsolete.
Dont buy any phone then. Life cycle of a phone is shorter now. But how much 'the need' we want from a phone is much depends on what kind of a person we are, independent of the technology offered.
Remember, buying a phone is not an investment- its a consumption activity.

the T68/T68i did pretty good. Its lasted 18 months now and still has a reasonable name for itself but then it was a ground breaker when it came out.
If I keep a phone for 12 months its a miracle!

The nokia 3310 has stayed even longer than T68.
Hasn't it been on the market for like 3 years now. (you can still find it in stores in sweden anyway)

JointMess, sounds like you have inside info? otherwise how do you know about build quality and perfect reception?
I think the build quality on T610 is great! and have no issues with the reception on the T610.
Also people who claim to have played with the Z say the menus are much like the T610 so that doesn't sound 'more usable'.
Do you have some inside info to share with us?
