was just wondering if anyone out there with knowledge of VB programming knows if it would be possible to write a simple app that could start the record function in 'camcoder' and the record function in the 'voice memo' both at the same time thus producing two separate files - 'image' and 'sound' - then you'd jus need another simple app to play em both together and hey presto video recorder with sound?

Why VB? Anyway, you can't call an internal function from another application, unless there is a published interface for doing this (which is not the case for either mentioned applications). This message was posted from a P800

that's a shame, maybe there would be another method of starting the record on both apps Simultaneously?

Lets assume, someone writes a short script that runs on the background and when we press the record function in Camcoder the voice memo start to record!!!

I wonder how u gonna play these? U recorded a video without sound, and u recorder sound without video :S

How do u want to play these at the same time :? ?

.. yeah good point. maybe the two seperate files could be extracted to the pc, merged using a specialist app then returned to the phone as a conbined mp4 or 3gp? it's interesting to note that on the 3650 camcorder, two files are produced after filming - an audio flie and a video file

Thats some work man

Copying the two files, converting it together into another .mp4 and copying it back, i rather wait for a camcorder application with sound

About the 7650, i did not know that...

give it time, whoever came up with the camcorder application might also be smart enough to work out how to record sound, increase frame rate and recording time. we all waited a while for the first beta so hopefully the second may have what you are looking for.
