> Free Firmware upgrade in the US & other flashing concerns
Bookmark topic
I just got of the phone with SE customer serv. here in the states and If I ship the phone to them they will flash it and send it back for FREE.!!
all I did was complain that in other parts of the world firmware upgrades are free if you can prove bugs. Her retort was that I wanted to UPGRADE my phone, I reminded her that bluetooth was a feature included with my phone and not an UPGRADE. I cant get magic word to work and I cant get the voice commands recorded thru the BT headset, so they work very erracticly and when I try to record them 9 out of 10 times the T68 just locks up... So they are gonna flash it under for me. I am psyched since I was about to pay SE 45$ to do this for me.
So if your BT doesn't work like it should don't pay to get it flashed.
I have r5d007 and it is t-mob customized, what is the latest t-mob custom firmware? and what is the latest generic?
what are the pros/cons of the generic/tmob firmwares?
will I lose all my higher level settings IE: wap settings, prefer'd nets, home net etc, etc?
is there a way to back up EVERYTHING so if I get a blank handset back I can reload ALL of my settings etc, etc?
How much difference is there between r5d007 and the latest?
Thats alot of questions but any info will help...
