I just got my Orange T68i unlocked down Tottenham Court Road (London). Now when I put my T-Mobile sim in the phone it recognises the network (comes up with t-mobile on the screen), but when I try to make a call I just get beeps, and if I try to call the phone I get a recorded message saying that number is not receiving calls.

Anyone got any ideas what has happened ?

The original Orange sim works fine, but that's not much good. I want to take the phone to Africa, so I need it unlocked. Now I can't be sure that it's going to work on any other network !

Can anyone help ?

Thanks,

Allen

Have you registered the sim with T-mobile yet?

The T-mobile sim I'm using for testing is on a monthly plan and works quite happily in a t-mobile phone (T300), so I don't think that is the problem.

I checked on the service info and all the items are unlocked with a (5) at the end, so everything looks unlocked.

Would a master reset help, or perhaps upgrading to the latest software revision (it currently has an only R2 version).

I appreciate all the help,

Allen
