I was reading a thread before about how the java on SE is very un-advanced compared to other handsets, and doesn't have the capability to run msn/aol/icq etc
well. for msn users, there could be a way.
t610 - and other new phones support xhtml, in the wap browser... and if you pop over to
www.wbmsn.com, there's a new Web Based MSN Client that uses server side ASP. The wbmsn is only in its infancy, but if this was written in xhtml, it could be accessed on wap browsers?
I'm not sure how having conversations would work exactly, but until SE upgrade their JAVA support, this could be a good option?
There's a contact form on the homepage of the site, so use it to ask for xhtml support!!!!!!!
Anyone see any problems/reasons why this won't work? I'm not a techie, but it seems like it should in theory!!!

it will work there are others like it cant remember the names of them theyve been mentioned else where in this forum. the problem with it is, if you are useing gprs, you pay by the amount you transfer, without using sockets there is no way of knowing when someone sends a message, someone comes online etc. consequently it has to constanly transfer data which is very costly

Check the 'text labels' in your SE phone: in most cases you'll be finding labels about some build-in AIM messenger…
