Import one, although they retail about £300, but they are region 2 so they will play british DVDs. Have it chipped, it should cost an extra £50 but you'll be able to play any DVD and any Game Cube Game.
Not a bad deal, considering the X-Box cost £300 and you need to get a remote to play the DVDs which will set you back £30.

Nintendo and Panasonic have done really well with the prices of these machines.
WH Smiths are going to be selling the GameCube for £ 149.99 I have heard for a week when it is launched on the 3rd May

panasonic gamecube in hong kong cost around US$499... it plays both US and Japan games and can play all region DVD. =) over in europe you guys use PAL or NTSC?
