Hi,

My friend has a toshiba laptop (one of the new pentium models). But when i tried to connect to bluetooth wouldn recognise the phone. And infared wouldnt recognise either. When my friend tries his smelly nokia phone it connected straight away.

Has anyone had issues where IR or bluetooth dont work? Also why cant SE phones connect via IR to Smelly Nokia phones?

What phone are you using? Ive found IR/BT on the t610 very temperamental. I sometimes have to switch it off and back on for it to work. As for the nokias, the question is why wont nokias connect to other phones? I can connect to phones from other manufacturers but not s40 nokias (reasons well documented) This message was posted from a Nokia

hmmm!! hafn't had any problems connecting phone to laptop via or IR..........the OS shud recognise the phone immediately via IR.....the connectivity depends on the dongle used!!! All's well to send/receive files.....but if u wanna sync with the phone, u need to download and install the comm software from sonyericsson.....u can download it at www.sonyericsson.comt610 click on synchronisation

nok IR is totally horsecrap.......it's not compatible with any other phone and u kenot send/receive from laptop unless u haf their program installed on the laptop....
