Has anyone got, or had a go with one of the genuine BT car kits with a P800?

I saw one in the brochure that came with my mobile and I'm seriously thinking about one of these. Any ideas? Feedback?

You might want to consider the driveblue ck3000. Its cheaper than the SE Kit, and a really great kit. Check out driveblue.com

It's a FABULOUS gadget !! I've installed it in my car + installation was a synch....

Also supports voice-dialling to initiate calls ... pretty sensitive to voice too (no need to wrestle with your voice !)

this is what I call 'hands-free' !!

skhambadkone, if you;re talkin abotu the CK3000, I totally agree with you.. Its AMAZING. However, it truly comes to life with regular phones like T68/T610. With the P800, the functionality is rather limited (no phonebook sync with the kit, no possibility to save voice tags in the kit etc etc).

That said, in terms of voice quality, I have absolutely no complains wotsoever, even travelling at 100mph on the motorway it works like a charm.

RizSher,

With the P800 and the CK3000 does it support Magic Word?

Another BT handsfree kit at CPC.co.uk - can't find it on their website, but it's on this months special offers magazine.

Call 08701 20 25 30 and quote product code TES200001

It's basically identical to the Bluedrive, but in a different casing.

Costs £59.95 + VAT

I've had the SE BT kit installed and it works perfectly, looks good too, no wires or any crap, just the controller visible. Also got the advanced music mute.

I got my kit yesterday, but unfortunately I didnt know to order the Advanced Music Mute. So the installation is gonna wait until I get the HCE-16.

BTW, Expansys is selling the kits for $152.
Grab 'em while they're hot.

Can anybody tell me why the CK 3000 is far superior to the SE kit?
Can you dictate a phone number to the CK 3000 to dial? And I dont mean Voice Memory, I want to be able to say "Dial One- Eight-Hundred- Five Five Five - One Two One Two" and have the phone dial that number.

**********UPDATE**********

It cost me $150 to have the kit installed, and then halfway thru, the technician tells me that the Advanced Music Mute won't connect to my stereo, and will only work with either most car stereos that are from before 2001, or either a Mercedez or a BMW.

But otherwise, its pretty loud, and I dont have a problem hearing it ring when my music is blasting along at 200 watts.

I also had the HCH-30 installed, and the power cable connected straight to the fusebox, this way I dont have to use up my cigarette lighter outlet.
