Yes I have searched the forum already but couldn't find anything...

In the T610 phonebook menu there is an option to send your entire phonebook via Bluetooth or IR (Phonebook > Advanced > Send All).

I have tried doing so using Bluetooth to my PC which has a Wavelinker USB Bluetooth Dongle connected. It appears to send ok, however when I open the file my PC receives I can only view the first contact. When I send contacts individually they work fine.

Any ideas? Do I need any extra software?

Thanks.

It's not ment to be used at a pc, it's just a backup for your phone. Other SE phones (my T300 f.i.) also have this 'problem'… This message was posted from a WAP device

It's normal for you to see the first contact only, but don't worry all the contacts (and the pictures that are linked with the contacts) are stored in the file. To be sure you could compare the filesize of all the contacts with an individual contact and you'll see that the one containing all the contacts is bigger in size.

Yes that's true. Is there no way I can cycle through all the contacts though?

the only way would be to synchronise your phone with outlook with the pc suite. Then you can see all the contacts seperately. That's how I did it anyways, but I have to be onest in saying that I've only tried it with the P800 and the t68i.

Try opening the .vcf file with a regular text editor like Notepad/Wordpad. You'll notice all your contacts are present.

I see... but what if I want to edit a contact's phone numbers and store it at a different field (i.e. from "other" to "mobile")? I tried opening a contact which has four entries in HOME, WORK, MOBILE, and OTHER, but Microsoft Outlook XP only displays three of the four entries, namely, HOME, BUSINESS (same as WORK), and MOBILE. any ideas on how I can access the OTHER entry? thanks a lot...

You dug up an old thread? There is a software called fma that can be used. It is very useful and has a lot of functions. It can be used for syncronising too. Use that. In the resources section of esato, go to software for pc and then fma. This message was posted from a K500

I already installed FMA (Float's Mobile Agent), but I think I'm still miles away from what I want to do. Does it need to be tweaked (change the original settings) after installation to work properly? I have a bluetooth port on my PC, but when I try clicking the "CONNECT" option from the "PHONE" menu, nothing happens...

Another thing, everytime I try to run FMA, it gives out several error messages; all of those error messages looking for a .vbs (VBScript) file that "cannot be found". Is my copy of FMA corrupt? Or do I still need to apply several settings for FMA to work? It's quite frustrating...

FYI: I make sure the Bluetooth function of my phone (Sony Ericsson T610) is on and in visible mode, and the Bluetooth adapter on my PC is functional. Heck, I can even send pictures and sounds from the PC to the phone and vice versa. Why can't I connect using FMA? Does anyone know the solution? Thanks a lot...
