> Why should I buy T610
Bookmark topic
Maybe today I will buy T610, but before that I would like to know, which phones will be better.
I think the T610 is a good choice today, because it will take a while for the new phones to released, and for example the new Z600 from SE looks like to be wery similar to the T610 except for the tft-screen. And I would rather choose T610 over ST 55, and I also don't like "flip" phones like the samsungs. And the Panasonic X70 looks like to be to expensive and it is a flip phone.
And Nokia is finished, they had their time for about 2 years ago, but now SE rules.
Should I wait or should I go...

Well, if you wait, you can be waiting forever, since there are new models coming out all the time. If you are satisfied with all the features in T610, I say go for it...

If you want to go once a month to your dealer to make a software update, and if the miss of a “street” and “city” fields

doesn’t disturb you, go for the T610 !
However, if you want to just download any software update and if you need a REAL address book and a good birthday reminder, go for the Siemens S 55…!! For sure, you’ll also have a not so nice screen but it’s up to you if the functions of the phone are really important or just the look…

Are you saying that ST55 got more functions then T610? I strongly disagree.
here is a thread comparing the two...

I said the Siemens
S 55…
It has exactly everything the T610 has… with less memory and a not so nice screen… but a camera with a flash…
However, for me, doing the update myself and having a
real address book was a lot more important than just a nice looking screen…

I got a W26 T610 still running the first firmware R1A081
and it works flawless, no problems at all.
So that statement seems a bit off.

...as for the "street" and the "city" fields, how many people really need that in their phone? That's what Outlook, and PDAs are for.
It's also possible to get the flash as an accessory for T610, and screen quality does matter.
It's all a matter of preference though, there aren't exactly right and wrong answers here.

The SE T610 is the best phone I have owned so far. I will perhaps also buy a SE P800 becouse of my Palm is getting ready for retirement.

But the price is also an issue for me. I guess the new phones that will come will be pretty expensive, more then T610.
And I'm also wondering if you think the T610 price will be on sale soon. For like 100 euros cheaper?
