Anyone found a way to convert proper music files into ringtones? I can save MP3s to the ringtones folder but it only shows .mid and .wav files when I try to assign a personal ringtone. Is mp3 not supported or is there a file size limit? The one I tried was only 160Kb. What formats ARE supported? If not mp3, what software do I need to make my own?

Thanks

Hello, I posted some time ago about the same problem.
The P800 supports WAW, Midi and some other formats but the only format (I think) to play a real song is WAW. Unfortunally these files are very big so my advise is to get a mp3 or WAW cutter and a converter. I use a MP3Cutter demo (you can only cut out 60 seconds) and a program to convert MP3s to waw called dBpower AMP Music Converter. Cut out the bit you want from the MP3 and then convert it to WAW and transfer it to your phone. Don't use the highest format of WAW possible, if you do the files will be huge. I use 8/bitar mono it's enough to play as ringtone on the P800.
Good luck

Thanks, sounds like a lot of hassle eh? Why couldn't they have enabled MP3 ringtones? I'll have a go at your suggestions, cheers.
