I had the same problem.

First make sure that you dont have too many applications open in the background - free up some space. If this doesnt work, what you have to do is contact your service provider and they can maybe sort it out for you.

Regarding you having to take the battery out - what you are getting is known in here as "the triangle of death". Rather than take the battery out, just hold on to the power button for approx 10 seconds and your phone will switch itself off.

i don't personally think this is caused my anything else but a bug in jog - so background stuff isnt relevant in this case, whilst it obviously also contributes to the state of the phone.

Shame this hasnt been fixed in firmware yet though.

Yeah I expected going to R2F would cure mine - and it cured a lot of them - but not the notorious "TOD while writing SMS" one. It's weird. I can't understand it. Have resorted to using Remotep800 to text from my PC when I can.

I have also experienced the odd TOD [I am R2D] and I txt lots. More irritating for me is the message just going to message 2 even though the counter is way below 160. Impossible to fix, I can't find any other way other than cut paste and new form. Any better ideas anyone.
