Hi all,
I posted up somewhere else on this forum (phonebin thread) that I can't send pictures from 'my pictures' to an email address using either GPRS or MMS as my tariff on o2 doesn't support either. Is there any way of doing it via wap?
In my pictures I go to more and send, and I get options for sending:
As picture msg
as e-mail
via BT
via IRda
the email option doesn't sem to support wap tho... there MUST be a solution to this problem as I'm happy with my tariff and don't want to really change until Im falsed too.

To send via e-mail, you have to have an e-mail account set up.

You set it up in: Messaging -> E-mail -> Options -> Edit Account
I don't know about yahoo, but I have seen settings for hotmail beeing posted in these forums. Do a search.

I think wrath000 might have missed the point about no GPRS or MMS access on your tariff (appologies if I am mistaken!)
I don't know about O2 but vodafone live lets you access your pop3 email from their wap pages but that facility does not allow attachments, only standard text.
Might be worth checking if O2 provide any kind of email service from their wap service and whether that allow attachments (though I doubt it).

@masseur
Actually I didn't. An ordinary WAP dial-up account could be used to recieve/send e-mail.

hey wrath000... of course I am the type of person who tries everything and I changed my email account to 'connect using' my vodafone GSM data account (after ensuring the settings were correct and that it connected to wap ok).
However when connecting from email 'send and receive' I get the old 'server not found' message when trying to access my email account. I have tried 6 times in a row with the same result.
Any clues?
edit: I also just tried using the POP3 server ip address but still server not found. switched back to GPRS and it worked straight off. Hmmm...

is the APN configured for internet, and the correct DNS server set-up? I had this problem as well, untill I set the DNS server.
