> Does the T100 have the 10sec "bug" ?

I currently have a T200.
Unfortunately I find it unacceptable that the phone switches off under certain circumstances (tight clothing / bags / back pocket).
I'm now seriously considering exchanging it to a T100 and getting 200 kronor or so back in the run. I tried holding the NO button down for a long time on a friend's T100 (w/keylock on) and it didn't switch off. He didn't report "turn-off" problems either and had it in his pocket all the time. Was this something exclusive to his T100 or is the T100 simply excluded from having the NICE "reboot-on-pwr-button" feature?
You might think I'm finicky about this. But a phone, in my opinion, shall be something you throw into your pocket and it shalt then be ignored until you need to check what the time is, you need to make a call, or it rings. I don't need games and such sh*t and frankly not GPRS either.
Thus, a phone that turns itself off SUCKS. But I want a sonyericsson because I think their phones are inexpensive and light + excellent menu system. It's just a damn shame they have to waste such a good phone as the T200 with a "NICE SPORADIC IN-POCKET REBOOT FEATURE". If they want a reboot feature implemented SOOO BADLY, why didn't they simply make a reset hole that you can poke a pen into?!

It's not a bug, it's a feature. If you hold in the power button for a long time, the phone will switch off, even if keylock is on, or the phone has crashed and frozen.

I know that. But in my eyes it's a BUG. And fortunately, my electronics retailer chain is very nice and doesn't care about what or how people exchange their wares. If your not satisfied you simply get your money back

grapetonix is right. Althoguh this is a 'feature' designed to avoid us ponentially damaging our phones by having to pull out the battery when it crashes, the plain fact that the OFF button is also the "NO" key causes problems in itself.
however, this is likely to become a thing of the past, since newer phones (T610/P800) have a seperate recessed Off button, which DOESNT get pressed easily in the pocket. and with the new clamshells, the risk of accidently switching off will be totally eliminated.

Then something prolly is wrong with it. I have a friend who has a T100 which he abuses routinely and daily (metal industry worker). It looks beat up as hell but according to him it still works fine...

I used to have a T200 and it never 'accidentally' switched off... It's all dependant on how you use it I spose
