Hi! I've searched the forums but didn't found any solution
that worked for me, so I'll post this as a new question,
please don't flame me! Help me!

Just bought a 128MB MMC card for my MP3 player,
but when I had downloaded a couple of songs to it
and connected it to my T610 it said: "HF connected"
and then "Play now?" when I pressed yes "Insert Music
Card" was displayed. I've managed once to see playlist
but when I pressed OK to play it said "Insert Music Card".

What should I do?

Currently using XP and upgraded original MMC writer from SE,
have ordered a new USB 6-in-1 reader/writer to come soon.

Have read that the MMC card must be formatted in "FAT",
not "FAT32". Done that, doesn't work. This FAT-requirement
is it the MMC reader/writer that needs it or is it the MP3
player it self?

Please help me! :/

Cheers!

Sorry to say, but that thread didn't gave me answers.
It is possible to use 128MB MMC cards with the MP3
player, but I guess there is some problems with the
formatting when using the original slow writer/reader?

the PP MMC was useless - too slow, i ended up using my PDA MMC slot to copy everything across, although the PP connection shouldn't in affect the memory limit. Expansys (http://www.expansys.com/) told me the memory limit was 64Mb for the player though...

That was over a year ago, but can't imagine much changed...

I use a 128MB MMC in my HPM-10 and it works perfectly. I even use the included MMC reader/writer for the card. Sure it's a bit slow but it works. I'll buy a USB card reader/writer soon though.

Have you tried to insert the music card after connecting the player? Can you access the player through the accessories menu?

Yes. When I do that it asks me "Play now?", I then press yes,
and it will display "Insert Music Card", Pressing Yes won't start
the player at all. It does started to play twice after pressing "Yes" for a while. I've also been able to see playlist once, but then "Insert Music Card" was displayed again.

Yes. No problems there. It works perfectly well with the 32MB
card aswell.

Hmm.. do you have any other stuff that can read or format the card like a digital camera or something (Palm, PocketPC etc). Maybe that would help.

Nopes, sadly I haven't...

Hope that my new USB MMC 6-in-1 reader/writer will
solve this problem, will have it within a week. Guess
that the problem is with the original writer? The card
is explorabel in XP and seems to be OK... Perhaps the
writer makes some kind of writing error?
