Can't get my pc to connect with the cable. Works ok with an ir link on laptop but won't connect with cable on pc. I have the t28 data cable and am running 'mobile phone monitor'...... Any suggestions?? Tia

If you check the
global support pages, you will see that T610 is compatible with DRS-11, and DCU-10/DCU-11 cables
T28 cable is used for flashing firmware

My old data cable i bought for the T68 didn't work for the T610 (well it didn't work within 5 minutes so i lost my patience), but the bluetooth worked without even any new drivers (Dell Inspiron 8500 w B/T)
I would love to get that old cable to work, it would earn it's place in my life then, but all it can do is charge the fone. I got it from mobileaction and got the latest driver from them but it doesn't do anything - - - dead in the water.

for those who cant detect your hp with the cable, try going to Control Panel -> Phone Monitor Options and enable all the COM Ports. Mine uses COM3 which is disabled by default and it works fine after enabling it.
