> can't get T68 to charge
Bookmark topic
I just bought a t68. I was able to get the battery to charge the other day, but now when I plug it in to charge it, it doesn't charge at all.
I leave it "charging" for several hours, but the battery indicator does nothing but diminish over time.
Any ideas?

I bought it on ebay. Dumb move I guess.
ADD:
So I decided to let it charge while turned off for about an hour (the "charging only" text displays...now the battery is dead (was about 25%). When I turn it on while plugged into the wall, it now animates the battery charging then says the battery is low or empty or something and shuts off.

I have two batteries, one ericsson and one "alien" battery. The ericsson battery was the one on the phone when It arrived at my door. It had a full charge and as I played around with the features of the phone over the next day or so, it began to run down. When it got to about 33% charge as displayed on the screen, I recharged it. Or so I thought. After a while on the charger, I returned and the phone was dead. It no longer had enough battery to start-up.
When I was charging it, it kept beeping and telling me "optimised charging".
Is this just a dead battery? I have tried charging it while, off and on. While on and charging, it says it is charging, but turns itself off after a low battery warning.
I'm currently letting the alien battery run down to see if the problem persists on that one.

It could be your charger...
Or bad/dirty contacts (charger to phone)

I get the same results with the serial adapter and the wall charger.
Hopefully it is just the battery.

update:
The phone will just not charge. I let both batteries run out. Now neither will charge at all. When I plug it in, the Red LED comes on and sometimes it says "charging only" but it will not start up when I hold the "NO" button.

I had the same problem with my T68. I think the connectors on the bottom of the phone become dirty. I found once the phone displayed "optimised charging" leave it alone, don't move it at all. This seemed to work for me.
