> my T610 firmware christmass wishlist

Some thingies that would be good if they are putted in the new firmware. Some things that are really irritating me.
- It needs to much clicks after writing an SMS to search for a number and send the SMS. (6 clicks!!) (Possible solution: go directly to the list after hitting the search button. and when a contact has only one number take that number automaticly without asking witch number, duh!)
- When you press on the 'more' button in the 'My Sounds' folder. There should be an option to assign a melody to a user. Like with the pictures. Its not logical that that needs to be done in the phonebook menu, and for the pictures it can be done direct. (same for the T68)
- Delete those 'more sounds', 'more pictures', 'more themes', ... links ore also put them under the 'more' button
-The calendar needs a louder alarm-signal, like it could be set on the T68i. It doesnt wake me up! i need to set a second alarm-clock.
- The events in the calendar needs a duration choise of 8 hours (maybe 12 also?) I use it for my work hours. The T610 has a color screen, use it! Why not other colors for vacation, date, meeting, travel,... events? could be handy. An icon 'work' would be handy to next to that Meeting, date, travel, ... icons.
- When you go to calendar, view today, you couldnt go to the next and previous day with the left,right joystick. this is possible when you go to the week view and press on a day. Why the difference?
- In the camera mode left/right changes the contrast of the picture, up/down the brightness. There should be bars that show you the current set brightness/contrast. like on the new siemens.
- The wap button on the right is handy but there should be an option to custumise the use. (the last option in the 'my shortcuts' menu?)
- When you go to the 'internet services' in the menu, you should go straith to your homepage like when you press on that wap-button on the side of the phone, that sonyericsson menu could be handy as a favorite, but thats about it.
- pressing up with the joystick in the standby mode, should be go to the latest name in your phonebook, like on the T68i. That was more handy then a new shortcut to that se internet page.
- Offcourse the polypone melodies need to be loud at the first second they ring.
- The posibility to compose your own SMS-tone!
- in the entertainment menu, Games & more should be named 'Java applications' and Other games should be named 'Mophun Games'
Its weird to choose between games and other games. Witch to choose?
All in one list with an java ore mophun icon is even better.

I Miss reoccuring events. Add option daily, weekly, monthly, yearly please!
Also miss (from my Nokia era) Birthdays in calendar. Brilliant idea, add name and year of birth, no more embarrassing moments congratulating mother in law on her 56:th birthday, then realizing 'oh, man -56 is the year she was born'
Miss from my Siemens phones: more fields in phonebook, like street, zip code and city (at least) I seldom use ALL the fields in my Siemens phones, but hey, itīs better to have and not need than the other way around, right?

I don't reckon they'll do that for quite some time. Reason being that sending SMS gives money to the different Carriers ... sending via bluetooth would eradicate any costs. I think if SE DID enable it, the carriers would start locking that option off on the customised phones, or raising trouble about it.
I'd still like to see it though
One other thing, even though it's not firmware - I'd like somebody to release a casing for the phone with a different material for the black part. That thing picks up fingerprints really fast

My wish is a source for faster animations. The screensavers are VVVVVV-EEEEE-EEEEE-RRRRR-YYYYYY SLOW. They could be smoother too. Like in the siemens S55. And the pictures take very much place from the phones memory, even they have much less size. eg. Ihave a 23 kByte pic, I send it to the phone via IR and I get a pic with a 58kByte size on the phone. I want faster JAVA games too, cuz I think the 16 MHz CPU is able to increase the speed of the games. That ringtone bug is very annoying foe me to. I heard that it's because SE don't want us to be a dumb. I don't know. That poly ringtones are quiet enough. I don't think that this option is necessary to protect our ears.

Mine only has the brightness - do yu need s/w upgrade for contrast - never even heard of this!?!

You CAN CHANGE THIS:
goto >> Connectivity >> Wap options >> Wap profiles >> Highlight your wap profile and click edit >> goto advanced >> change homepage >> rename it or leave it >> then enter new address, eg
http://wap.esato.com.
When you press your shortcut button on the side - esato will load straight away.
Oh & all I want is the abilty to back-up Java & Mophun games by ir or :bt:
In the UK it's Legal to do this - If you own the original.
It's a right pain if the phone goes faulty (the T68/i was not without it problems & the T610 has inherited a few) etc etc.
