Bookmark topic
I have a T610, R1 firmware, and a Bluetooth USB adapter. Have successfully installed and paired the devices and am transferring files such as themes, photos, wallpapers etc, to and from the phone with absolutely no problem whatsoever. However, I've sent my contacts over twice -- using advanced, send all, using bluetooth -- and they just vanish. They're not in my exchange folder, nor is there a Phonebook option in my 'OBEX file transfer folder'... whatever that is.
I want to sync phone and comp so I can make a backup of, and edit my contacts. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? According to my list of available services, synchronisation is one of them.
I also had a quick look at float's software as was recommended, but a lot of T610 users seem to be having problems, plus it sounded far too complex and complicated for me! Advice, anyone?

Why are you posting this twice? You have already posted your problem in
this thread.

That's actually the wrong forum thread, wrath000 -- my mistake. I thought I'd try my luck on the Technical thread, where the problem belongs. Plus, neither of the replies given have worked so far.
No need to be testy

It was a mistake!

Have you tried XTNDConnect? It's used to sync your contacts/calendar with Outlook 2000, and is included on the CD distributed with the phone
You can also find PIM syncronization under services for your phone (BlueTooth)
When you send contacts from your phone to the PC, they will be placed as configured in "Pim Transfer" in "My Device" (BlueTooth)

Tried XDConnect, but it won't recognise my phone as it is not 'connected to my PC'. Is there a Bluetooth setting I need to change?
Sorry, quite slow at this.

Open the virtual com port to your phone from: bluetooth neighborhood -> [your phone] -> serial port
Make sure the COM port used for the serial bluetooth port is activated in the

Mobile Phone Monitor (found in windows control panel). Don't reserve the port, simply enable it.
You might want to take a look through
this as well.

I've tried it. It's all there, it's all right, I've read all the forums suggested -- and it still won't work. My COM port is connected, it's set up in the MPM, I've done everything I can do and it's still not working... The only thing I can tell you is that I don't seem to have any 'Bluetooth Neighbourhood', at all. There is no link for this anywhere, just the main Bluetooth Place screen...? Has the software been installed incorrectly?

Well, actually it's called "Entire BlueTooth Neighbourhood" and it's located in "My BlueTooth Places". If it's not there, you might want to try and re-install the bluetooth software. By the way, which version drivers to you use?
