Haven't seen this one anywhere, so...

I can't connect to the internet with Traffic I or Opera. It just can't find the server. But, the built-in phone browser works just fine, so the connection must be working OK.

Traffic-I and Opera work fine when on the cradle, connecting through my PC.

When I start Opera, it asks what service to connect with, I get the little globe, and it flashes the transceive bars like it's connected. But no data appears. And Opera eventually says cannot connect to remote server. Traffic I says can't find Traffic I server.

I'm in the Uk on Vodafone, with R2F firmware, upgraded a few weeks back. Any ideas?

This has been covered in the GPRS threads....

It all works whilst in the cradle as you're using the PC's internet connection.

You'll need 'wap' and 'data' APN GPRS accounts - tow separate data accounts on your P800, the wap one for browsing, and the data one fpr POP3 email, I-traffic etc.

You will need to get your service provider to enable the data APN in addition to the wap one...

That sounds like what I need, thanks a lot. I just couldn't understand why the built-in browser was working while Opera isn't.

Back to struggling with Vodafone's support people. They really aren't very good are they?
