> Anyone else having problems with Bango on T-Mobile/US?
Bookmark topic
I've been trying to download ringtones from Esato and Logogo for my new T610 phone (on T-Mobile in the US). So far I have been totally unsuccessful. I usually get an error from Bango! after selecting the tone on wap.esato.com. Twice I have been able to access Bango and approve the payment, only to be given an error as soon as the phone attempts to connect for the download. My Bango account was debited both times, however, although no ringtones were delivered. Are others having problems like this? Has anyone out there been successful in using these services? So far I'm very unimpressed. Why the heck do sites like Esato use Bango anyway? It seems so cumbersome. Anyway...any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, I've had exactly the same experience with the Esato ring tones and Bango (T610, T-Mobile, US). I usually just got the Bango error message right off the bat, as you described, but then twice it seemed to go through only to never receive any rings, also as you described.
At one point I followed the link to Bango support that accompanied the error message and sent them a description of the problem. They got back to me by basically telling me to read the instructions on there web site, something I had already done several times.
I was going to pursue it further but decided I had wasted enough time.
Then I happened to find another site that uses the Bango system (Logogo.com) and tried my luck there. In theory I still had £2 worth of credit from my original 5, enough for one ring.
It didn't work, but Logogo.com actually contacted me via email soon afterwards even though I didn't even contact them about it. They apparently received some automated report of the error and went ahead and made the ring I had tried to order available through some special, direct link. I was actually able to go to it with my computer web browser, download it and bluetooth it over to my phone, although they also gave me another link and code to use if I wanted to get it directly from my phone.
By the way, I pasted in those pound symbols from another page. I wonder if there is a way to do it directly from an American keyboard. As I recall, the pound sign on British keyboards is the "other" pound sign on ours (#). Or maybe not, I don't really remember.
