If I remember the old thread which I won't try to find. You can't use it as a webcam and no one would want to use it (well you would and I bet some others also would). Point is, the cam is pointed the wrong way. And it is also tilting downwards, you would need another form of cradle.
The idea is not all bad, I just don't think it would work.
Just go buy a webcam, they are cheap and a program like this if someone decided to make it. Would probably want money for it.
