well basically the battery indicator is on zero always. If i reboot the phone, then it shows the correct status, but after 5 seconds or so; the battery indicator drops to zero...and the phone says battery low.....its a new phone..but accidentally (a couple of times) i removed the battery while the phone was operating....could that have caused it? and if so, then wat should i do?

Have the phone and the battery checked at a SE service point. They have a special device that determins the operating parameters of the battery. A friend of mine had a similar problem with a T65: all of a sudden the phone indicated low battery and then it would shut down. Installing a new software version fixed that. What software version do you currently have?

i have R1F005. I was thinking of getting the software updated, but I heard that the new software crashes a lot and basically you would weep to get back the old one. Infact I read that on this forum itself. I'll charge the phone all night and see the next day; if the problem persists or not...

My uncle has a T310 and he had a problem with his battery, too, but in another way; The battery meter was always on the half and when the battery was empty, it shut itself down automaticaly without any "red lights" or warnings. He sent the phone to

and they upgraded the firmware of the "battery" (?!?). When the phone came back, it was the same phone with the old firmware, but now it shows the battery level normal.

For me, R3B003 crashes ONLY during WAP 2.0 GPRS traffic. In all other respects, including gaming and synchronization, the phone performs flawlessly.

well u must read my earlier post of problem regarding R3B003--"The IR link automatically breaks up and i have to reboot the phone in order to make it work properly otherwise it hangs if i directly switch IR port off and then on again"
is anybody having the similar problem (those who r using GPRS from PC)
i went to SE service centre they gave me some old Phone with old firmware to test and that worked fine. Then they replaced it with a new one that has R3B003 i got it replaced yesterday only "Brand new" it gave me the problem once n hope doesn't give again
i think its a software problem.Bcuz it was working fine with old firmware[for all those GPRS users if u have old firmware don't get it upgraded] old is gold LOL
also they looked for the old firmware as i wasn't having problem with that but tthey couldn't find it anywhere it has been taken off.so dats why they gave me a new phone.
i wish soon a new firmware comes.I love SE can't even sell it.I love SE phones

I use IR both for synch and internet connection. Are you sure it isn't a problem with your laptop? Mind works like a charm! Also - what hardware version is your T310?

That I haven't encountered ANY problems while using IR on my T310 R3B003 in conjunction with a Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook with updated IR receiver drivers. Draw your own conclusions...
